But compared to a couple years ago, when he got it wrong all the time, regardless of whether we were together or not, Dave seems to have finally gotten it down. Although I was always pretty amused by it. But now he gets to call his children by the wrong names on a daily basis. :)
she just got sad, then she got stuck. she was wincing like something brittle trying hard to bend... but we never see things changing, we only see them ending, and some vicious, whispering voice keeps saying you have no choice... and i can't really wake up so i just drift in between thinking the glass is half empty and thinking it's not quite full

You know, I have had a sneaking suspicion for years that that was the case. Maybe that's why it took Dave seven years to get our names right. :)
True... although he still messes it up on occasion, but only when we are both in the same place.
